The most common anomalies in the development of the skull are hydrocephalus and microcephaly.

Hydrocephalus: The head is excessively large compared to the body.

Microcephaly: The head is extremely small compared to the body. The most common chromosomal abnormality is down syndrome. Down syndromes are also referred to as “mongoloid” because of the resemblance of some physical features to mongols.

Down syndrome; chromosomal excess. In these patients, there are 3 chromosomes instead of 2 in the 21th chromosome pair. Therefore, they have 47 chromosomes instead of 46 chromosomes. For this reason, all children with Down’s syndrome are similar. Apart from these, blood disagreement is a condition that can lead to mental deficiency.

Blood disagreement; Rh-positive blood-group mother and Rh-positive blood-group father marriage; the baby’s blood group is Rh-positive. In this case, the blood of the mother who is connected to the mother’s blood circulation and which is being nourished by this way shows the mother’s blood incongruity; which can lead to various disorders in the baby’s brain.

Finally, factors such as close family marriages, soy attraction factors, mother’s age younger than 18, older than 35 years, and the fact that her father is very old also lead to mental deficiencies.
